Dr. J. L. Williams was an evangelist and teacher who traveled around the world in apostolic ministry as God led and enabled him. In addition to preaching and teaching the Bible, he mentored key partners to be more strategic and impactful for the Gospel in their countries and cultures. He was relationally focused rather than program or project focused in ministry relationships and partnerships. J. L. went home to be with the Lord on December 28, 2016.
I am at the airport departing for Abaco, Bahamas. NO, this is not a vacation after my recent 3 weeks in Kenya & Sudan that I have only been home from for a week! I am going there to help jump-start a new holistic development project for the Haitian Diaspora living there -- most illegally. Like the Hispanic population in the States, the Haitians do most of the menial labor that the Bahamians will not do. So they are the loved and hated immigrants of the Bahamas. In the past several years we have built a church a year for the Haitians there. Like so many, this project was stalled and postponed for nearly 6 months due to governmental red tape, ineptness and corruption, as they indefinitely compounded our two containers of agricultural, building and educational supplies. So the prince of this world never makes it easy to meet needs in the name of Christ! Thanks for your prayers and I will be back in touch and send pictures in the next few days I will be there.
In His Healing Love,
