Kenya Report

Dear Friends & Partners,

In my last report on my recent 5 weeks in Africa, I shared 'part 1' of my time in Zimbabwe.  Now I want you to fly north from there with me to Kenya for a quick visit to our 'Samburu Sports Camp.'

As you know from previous reports, it is headed by our dear brother and partner, Stakwell Yurenimo, and his wonderful wife, Francesca.  We first started our relationship with him when he was an adolescent.  Through the years we have had the joy of watching him grow into one of the most strategic and synergetic leaders among the Samburu Tribe.  After his graduation from Bible College, he wanted to start a Sports Ministry since it was through athletics that he came to personal faith in the Lord Jesus while he was in high school.    Through faith and hard work, we carved the Camp out of the 'African Bush.'  In the half dozen years that the Camp has now been in operation, God has wonderfully used it as a place for recreation andreconciliation for children, young people and adults.  Each year there are many events at the Camp that bring formerly hostile tribes together for 'friendly competition' on the athletic field rather than 'hostile confrontation' on the battle field!

So take a moment to enjoy the following pictures as I give you a quick tour of my 'Samburu Home.'  And as you look at these pictures, I hope that some of you men who have carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, mechanical skills and experiences will prayerfully consider going to Kenya with me in December.  It will give you the opportunity to put your skills to work for the Lord among the Samburu Tribe.  The trip will end with an over night visit to a Game Reserve where you will see some of Africa's incredible wild life.  I can assure you that this will be an 'African Kingdom Adventure Safari' you will never forget!  Email me for more details...JL
