It is a special joy and privilege for me to invite you to see a timely interview with my friend, Ambassador Lewis Lucke. He is heading up all of the rescue and relief efforts right now in Haiti for America through USAID. He is a career diplomat for the United States and has help distinguished positions in many countries of the world—including Haiti. That’s why he was hand-picked for this challenging job!
But Ambassador Lucke is also a dear friend. When he was in high school here in his home town of Burlington, NC, he was in the New Directions. So we go back a very long way! We had gone to Haiti together for a long weekend after his “40th High School Reunion” at Williams High School—where all four of my children also graduated. Little did we know that this trip to a country that both of us love would lead to his going back in this weighty position!
So I invite you to view this interview I did with Lewis just a few days ago in Haiti before I left Port-au-Prince. I have posted it below and on my new Youtube Channel, JLWilliamsTV. It will bless and encourage you. And it will make you proud of him as an American… a North Carolina Tar Heel… a Williams High School Bulldog! I hope it will also inspire you to pray regularly for him as he continues to face the unprecedented challenges of the largest natural disaster in the Western Hemisphere—in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
Thanks for taking time to watch this brief interview with Ambassador Lucke, then pass it along to your friends and associates who might also like to hear first hand about what is going on in Haiti under Lewis’ watch as Ambassador.
For the rebuilding of Haiti,
